Main Engineering, located just off the Bruce highway in Proserpine, has been operating in the area since 1998. The company has rapidly expanded over the last five years with a 1500m2 workshop, overhead cranes, new CNC machinery, welding and profile cutting capabilities. Main Engineering owner, Michael Cutuli, said they started manufacturing billet planters in 2012 and now have many machines out in the field spread from Woodburn NSW and all the way up to Tully North QLD and recently have designed and built a planter specifically for the Indian sugar industry.

“We have found a demand for well built, reasonably priced billet planters in north Queensland,”

“We focused on fixing all the little problems that the others seem to ignore and we feel we have come up with a great machine.”

Our range of planters all share the same main components, including wheels, frames, coulters and shutes so spare parts, should you have a breakdown, are always in stock to get you back in the field with minimal down time.

We have 4 standard models;

  • Single row conventional.
  • Dual row single.
  • 2 row conventional.
  • 2 row, dual planter.

Conventional planters can be equipped with double disc openers or ripper leg style shute. Shutes are adjustable in width and come with hillup discs and press wheels as standard.

Dual row planters come standard with 30’’ coulters which are fully adjustable in row width and furrow size. These machines also come with hillup discs and press wheels.

Optional extras on all machines include the following;

  • Overhead spray bars
  • 316 Stainless fertilizer boxes
  • Bedformer attachments
  • Floating toolbars
  • Larger bin capacity.

These machines are built to last with ease of maintenance in mind. Call now to arrange an inspection or see one working.
